The iGov June learning experience was healthy cooking as the team did the Recipe Rehab with Cassidy Hall at Cooperative Extension. In addition to the team learning another awesome service that Cooperative Extension offers, they took home simple, affordable and healthy recipes. Thanks to Cassidy for making it awesome. SUMMER READING PROGRAMS CONTINUE
Wilson County Public Library invites all ages to experience our Summer Reading Program, A Universe of Stories, continuing in July. Programs for children are scheduled at all six locations and for teens at the Main Library, Lucama Library, and Elm City Library. The Adult Summer Reading Program takes place at the Main Library. A Universe of Stories is made possible by the generous assistance of the Friends of the Wilson County Public Library. All programs are free and open to the public. Contact your local branch to register or for additional information.

Experience Sea Moons: Presented by the North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher on Monday, July 8, 2019 at 7:00 pm. Aquarium staff will present a program featuring lie moon jellies. Explore why the celestial moon is so important to sea turtles, discuss why moon jellies were named after the moon and learn how sea turtles pursue them as food. Ages 5 and up. Natalie Copeland will offer a two part genealogy series in July. This begins with Discover Your family History 1: Learn How to Build A Family tree on Tuesday, July 9 from 2:00 pm until 3:00 pm. This introductory workshop will enable you to connect to the past by research and building a family tree. Learn about basic record types that will help you build a strong family tree as well as tips for tracking and organizing your family tree data.
Discover Your family History II: Preserving Your Family tree will take place on July 23 from 2:00 pm until 3:00 pm. Learn how to organize and preserve your family history data in a digital format. Explore online tree-building tools and places where you can share your family history documents and images online.
