Approximately 850,000 Americans experience cardiac arrest annually, of that number only 15% receive an intervention that could save their life. The purpose behind this course is to provide attendees with the education and training to react to an incident of sudden cardiac arrest. Attendees will learn the science behind cardiac arrest, the capabilities and limitations of their communities, and the integral role that they can play in making their community a safer place to live. This course is based on community practices from Seattle Washington which currently has a 65% survival rate following sudden cardiac arrest. Each attendee of this course will find the ability in themselves to save another’s life. It will be held at the Agricultural Center on Thursday, July 18, 2019 at 9:00 am and will last about 2 hours. The program will include Automated External Defibrillator (AED) training.
