Halloween Style
County Government Employees were festive on Halloween, showcasing many different costumes and styles to make the day fun. Hats off to those who took time to bring smiles and laughter to so many coworkers and citizens.
We love to see people grow, but we never like to see them go. Water Services along with all the staff at the Wilson County Government Center wished Takela Howard the very best as she transitions to Emergency Medical Services. Staff ceased the opportunity to dress up for Halloween while celebrating. Takela Howard starts at Emergency Medical Services November 1, 2018.
The Wilson County Board of Commissioners was proud to be table sponsor and to join Wilson County Government Staff and local first responders as part of the Wilson Community College Foundation’s Local Unsung Heroes Banquet. We were so proud to have Christopher Aquino, Emergency Services; Matthew Joyner, Emergency Communications/911; Justin Parrish, Emergency Medical Services; Gordon Deno, Emergency Management; and Lt. Adam Howell, Sheriff’s Department all recognized as nominees for the Unsung Hero. Thank you to our first responders for always answering the call and for serving Wilson County’s citizens.
The iGov learning experience continued in October at the Wilson County Government Center. Staff learned from Human Resources, 4-H/Cooperative Extension and toured Financial Services. The 2018 iGov team will grade in November and will be recognized by Commissioners. Are you considering iGov? Look for the 2019 enrollment announcement soon.
