Some of our customers have recently received fraudulent phone calls. Callers are telling customers that they are from Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina (Blue Cross NC) or another health insurance plan. These callers are asking for personal information.
The calls are coming from various places including Miami, Florida and New Jersey. There are also calls from international phone numbers.
We posted this reminder about these types of calls on Twitter this week. Our Customer Service teams are aware of this and are prepared to assist customers who call about it. We have also placed messaging on our website.
Key Points
