Digital Communications Workshop

This 3-hour workshop helps local government agencies address the particular record-keeping problems posed by digital communications. The workshop focuses specifically on the legal and logistical challenges posed by records created through email, texting, instand messaging and social media. Topics include an overview of records management, public records law, applying local records, retention schedules to digital media, best practices for storing and preserving electronic records and common pitfalls to avoid.
