Wilson County March & April Library Programs

Wilson County Public Liberary will offer a variety of programs for all ages at the Main Library and Branches in April 2019, as well as the addition of an English/Spanish bilingual storytime on March 26, 2019.

Money Smart Week Programs at Wilson County Public Library: Money Smart Week is a financial literacy initiative from the Federal Reserve to help consumers better understand their personal finances. Money Smart Week takes place March 30th thru April 6, 2019. Find additional Money Smart Programs and resources at www.moneysmartweek.org. Couponing Workshop with Chelsey Edens: Monday, April 1, 2019 at 6:30 pm. Main Library Assembly Room. Learn all the best couponing tips and tricks from the Coupon Queen herself, Wilson Times columnist Chelsey Edens. Open to ages 18+. Registration requires 252/237-5355.

Monopoly Madness: Tuesday, April 2, 2019 at 6:00 pm thru 9:00 pm. Main Library Assembly Room. Celebrate Money Smart Week with an extra-long Monopoly gaming session. Open to all teens. No registration required.

Buying a Home in Today’s World: Saturday, April 6, 2019 at 1:00 pm thru 3:00 pm. Main Library Assembly Room. Mike Jablonski from Prime Lending and Dominik Brodhage from the Chesson Agency will provide a guided tour through the home-buying maze and explain what buyers can expect at every turn, including home-buying myths and navigating the loan process. registration requested 252/237-5355.

Bilingual Family Storytime: Tuesday, March 26, 2019 at 4:00 pm. Join us for the first Spanish/English family Storytime at the main Library! The Library hopes to continue this bilingual program the last Tuesday of each month.

Lapsit: Wednesday,s April 3, 10, 17, 24; Thursdays, April 4, 11, 18th, 25; 9:30 am Ages 0-2.

Preschool Storytime: Wednesdays, April 3, 10, 17, 24; Thursdays, April 4, 11, 18, 25; 10:00 am.

Family Storytime: Saturdays, April 6, 13, 20, 27; 3:00 pm.

Storytimes take place in Youth Services. No registration is required.

Tip of The Week

Let’s Talk Pizza for this “Tip of the Week”

(1) For frozen pizza packaging recycle the box and trash the plastic wrapping that is around the actual pizza

(2) That greasy pizza box that you just picked up or had delivered, is trash!  Do not put it with your recyclables!  That one greasy pizza box mixed in with your recyclables just contaminated your whole bag/bin.
